MLO-PE: A record-breaking one million views
A new record was set at Malmberg’s Primary Education eLearning Platform, MLO. On 8th September 2011, the site statistics registered a traffic of more than 5,000 unique visits and over 1,000,000 page views. We’re proud to say the platform was developed by Young Digital Planet.
The platform
The MLO-PE is a learning environment created for Malmberg and designed especially for the Dutch educational market. As a complete online e-learning platform delivering educational content to primary schools through standard Internet browsers, it allows to effectively manage complex learning processes.
The product is divided into several components working together as a complete system: a Learning Management System, a Flash table of contents component and interactive educational content.
One of the great advantages of the application is its flexibility that allows for the creation of personal learning paths and integrations with external administration systems.
The role of Young Digital Planet
The core of the application is based on Young Digital Planet’s original Learning Management System. In addition, Young Digital Planet, in cooperation with Malmberg, developed a wide range of teacher-friendly features and a tailor-made, content-related interface with a “young” look and feel, suitable for primary students.
Apart from the outstanding features of the product, Young Digital Planet has ensured effective system maintenance together with consulting and implementation.
The (incredible) result
The million page views seen in September show the platform’s efficiency and reliability while proving it’s ready to serve the constantly increasing traffic. Since its launch in 2008, the platform has already gained over 400,000 registered users, with 1,000,000 predicted by Malmberg in 2013.
