Welcome to the third Lower Primary Maths sample lesson – Commutative law of addition
This is an exemplary scenario of a lesson about Commutative law of addition from Lower Primary Maths by Young Digital Planet program.
Each lesson scenario includes introductory information such as: general and specific goals of the lesson, teaching methods, materials and resources. Each lesson procedure consists of 3 stages: an introductory phase, presentation and practice, and a summary.
The first part is usually short and its main goal is to revise material needed to grasp the idea of the lesson topic. In the second one, the new issue is presented, gradually explained and practiced to provide full comprehension.
Thanks to the final part of the scenario, children have a chance to consolidate ideas they have learned and make sure that they understand the topic. Furthermore, each lesson scenario includes additional activities for mathematically gifted pupils and extra activities for low-achieving students.
